Accessibility Statement

Last updated: April 24, 2026

Our Commitment

48HourWebsites is committed to ensuring our website is accessible to all users, including people with disabilities. We believe everyone deserves equal access to information about our services, regardless of the assistive technology they use or the disability they live with.

We are actively working to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA standards across our entire website.

Standards We Follow

Our accessibility efforts are guided by the following standards:

  • WCAG 2.1 Level AA — the international standard for web accessibility published by the W3C Web Accessibility Initiative (WAI)
  • ADA Title III — the Americans with Disabilities Act requirements for places of public accommodation, as applied to websites
  • Section 508 — federal accessibility standards for electronic and information technology

These guidelines explain how to make web content more accessible to people with disabilities including blindness, low vision, deafness, hearing loss, limited movement, speech disabilities, photosensitivity, and cognitive disabilities.

Accessibility Features

We have implemented the following features to improve accessibility across our site:

  • Keyboard navigation — all interactive elements are reachable and operable via keyboard
  • Skip to main content — a skip link appears at the top of every page for keyboard users
  • Screen reader support — ARIA roles, labels, and landmarks are used throughout to support assistive technologies
  • Semantic HTML — proper use of headings, lists, landmarks, and form labels
  • Form accessibility — all form fields have associated labels and clear error messaging
  • Focus indicators — visible focus states on all interactive elements
  • Dropdown menus — navigation menus include aria-expanded, aria-haspopup, and can be dismissed with the Escape key
  • FAQ accordion — aria-expanded and aria-controls properly associate questions with their answers
  • Mobile navigation — the hamburger menu announces its open/closed state to screen readers
  • Responsive design — content reflows correctly at 320px width and at 400% browser zoom without loss of functionality
  • No seizure triggers — no content flashes more than three times per second
  • Link purpose — links and buttons have descriptive text or aria-labels
  • Language — the page language is declared as English in the HTML element

Known Limitations

While we strive for full WCAG 2.1 AA compliance, we are aware of the following limitations we are actively working to address:

  • Color contrast — some secondary text elements on dark backgrounds may not fully meet the 4.5:1 contrast ratio requirement for normal text. We are auditing and improving these progressively.
  • Third-party content — our live chat widget and embedded tools are provided by third parties. We cannot fully control the accessibility of these components, though we select partners who prioritize accessibility.
  • Complex data tables — certain admin-facing pages contain tables that may not be fully optimized for screen reader navigation. These are not customer-facing pages.
  • PDF documents — if any downloadable documents are provided, they may not be fully tagged for accessibility. Please contact us if you need an accessible version of any document.

Assistive Technology Compatibility

Our website is designed to be compatible with the following assistive technologies:

  • Screen readers — NVDA, JAWS, VoiceOver (macOS and iOS), TalkBack (Android)
  • Keyboard-only navigation
  • Browser zoom up to 400%
  • High contrast mode (Windows and browser extensions)
  • Voice control software (Dragon NaturallySpeaking, Voice Control on macOS/iOS)

Ongoing Efforts

Accessibility is an ongoing commitment, not a one-time project. We regularly:

  • Test with screen readers and keyboard-only navigation
  • Review accessibility feedback and incorporate improvements into our development cycle
  • Train our team on accessible design and development practices
